Set at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Villa Royale is a free-spirited hideaway housed beneath the desert palms of the Coachella Valley. A secluded stomping ground originally constructed in 1947, Villa Royale draws from the eccentric history of Palm Springs and mesmerism of the desert that has long lured wild, free-thinking and creative spirits to the tale-spinning lands of southern California. Tucked beneath terra cotta clay roofs and studded with flowering desert flora, Villa Royale houses 38 colorful, airy villas that call to travelers who seek the desert for its beauty, sense of escape and uninhibited vibe.
Located poolside and offering picturesque mountain views, Deluxe rooms are perfect for the free-spirited traveler looking to unwind for a night and revel in the magic of Palm Springs. These guestrooms include the full lineup of Provenance Signature amenities and a fully stocked dry bar for cocktail revelers.
Premier rooms are designed with a stunning mahogany wall as the backdrop to a sprawling king size bed. Bright vaulted ceilings give our Premier rooms a spacious, lofty vibe while the room’s in-room dry bar invites desert travelers to kick back in good spirits. Most Premiers either include a fireplace or patio.
Our Suites range from spacious studios, to gracious one and two bedroom configurations. All have a separate living room or sitting area. Our Royale Villas have extra special features and perfect are for entertaining. Some include a private patio, fireplace or cocktail bar.
Named in honor of the hotel’s original owner, the crown jewel of this desert hideaway features Portuguese tiled walls accented by large format, photo realistic oil paintings produced by Spanish artist and poet, Juan Casas. Large French windows drench the Evelyn Pell Villa in natural light while a glowing fireplace emits light and warmth. Furthering the classic California ranch experience and intimate nature of this private hideaway, the Evelyn Pell Villa is surrounded by a private desert garden, hot tub and lounge area.
Spilling across the street to the west side of South Indian Trail Road sits Villa Rosa, an extension of Villa Royale’s desert hideaway. Comprised of just seven California ranch style villas and mirroring the design cues and playful vibe of Villa Royale, Villa Rosa offers an increasingly intimate, secluded setting within Villa Royale’s three-and-half-acre oasis.
